This "choice for men" notion has been kicking around the Internet for at least the last ten years. I'm disappointed that it's migrated to an NYT op-ed, but I can't say I'm surprised.
The answer is simple:
The right to abortion is not based on a woman's right to decide "whether or not to have a child", but her right to decide what to do with her own body.
The right to child support is not an entitlement of the custodial parent, but an entitlement of the child to support from both parents.
